Preliminary Evaluation My preliminary task went well in the end after a slightly tricky start, I initially filmed it at home as the setting and costume was a lot better however because of incorrect settings on my home computer I lost all of that footage. Therefore I had to re film it at school this did sadly mean it was rushed so the setting and costume was whatever I could get on the day and so it didn’t come out as good as it did the first time or as good as I wanted it to. Keeping the 180 degree rule was quite simple as it is a very obvious rule so that was fine to stick to. The match on action was tough as when he came through the door he opened it in a way that he only pushed it open then just left it to close; this meant that there was very little to match together for the match on action. However with how the rest of the script played out there were a few more opportunities to get better match on action. The shot reverse shot was easy to film as I filmed the whole thing form one angle then again from the other side which meant all I had to do was choose when I wanted to see each person’s face while editing. There was one point in it where Liam (the one who delivered the suitcase) opened the suitcase in one way on the over the shoulder shop then differently on the close up so I had to do the best I could when editing but it is quite clear that his hands just suddenly move. After my video being showed in class I got feedback about the opening of it where it cuts from shot to black back to shot, this was done because with the clips alone my video wasn’t quite long enough, they said that instead of having the black sections silent add in sound because without it makes it seem more jumpy and makes it more obvious that the viewers are watching a film. Overall it did go well, it’s annoying as I’ll always have in the back of my mind what It could have looked like but I am happy the finished product that I’ve managed to create.
