My magazine does not have a header as well as a footer it only has a footer

The main image on the NME magazine is less centralised than mine to make room for other text or images

My magazine only has one image on the cover

The colour of text on my magazine is predominantly blue and orange whereas the text is various different colours on the NME front cover

The cover lines are obviously different as they are made for different target audiences i.e. people interested in music for NME and students for my magazine

What have you learnt about the technologies from the process of constructing this product

Using the digital camera, I learnt how to incorporate rule of thirds into my magazine cover image. This meant that I could improve the layout of the magazine and maintain the appearance and professional appeal of the magazine. I took an MCU of a student to be the model for the cover. Through the use of the camera I have learnt how to improve my layout techniques to improve the appearance of the magazine.

Through the use of Photoshop I learnt how to manipulate and enhance images taken on the digital camera. This allowed me to make the model for my cover stand out more and to blur the background of the image. By blurring the background I improved my magazine cover as it allowed the text and cover lines to be noticed easier and to be read easily.

By using In Design, I was able to learn how to improve the layout of my contents page. This made it look a lot more professional and improved the general appearance of the magazine. Also, I learnt how to create a double page spread for the magazine with the cover on one page and the contents on the other.
