Tiger Library

This is in the summer of 2008. The day before books arrived!

Page 15: Prairie View Middle School

Book Delivery Day!The library is on the second floor and the floors had just been waxed. The delivery driver dropped off 15 pallets of books. 245 boxes!! The custodial staff then used dollies to bring boxes up in the elevator 3 boxes at a time. Bless their hearts!!

Page 16: Prairie View Middle School

The Library Fully OperationalWith just over 9,500 books, the PVMS library serves the entire population. The collection includes: Fiction, non-fiction, biographies, e-books, graphic novels, reference materials, Spanish materials, and a professional library.

Textbook Delivery

The textbooks were the next step! We had to barcode over 15,000 textbooks to be ready for school to begin. Thank goodness for all of the student volunteers that gave up lots of their summer!

Students use Computers to access information

The library has 12 Computers that area available for individual student work on a regular basis. On the other side of that window is a full class computer lab designed for multimedia presentations and research work.

The library serves everyone!Teachers enjoying the space the library offers during our first annual Mac and Cheese Cook-off. Winners at each lunch won tickets to the staff Christmas party at a local country club.

(The man with the beard is our Principal, Mr. Delgado. The cook-off was his idea!)
