Planning and pitchingMy music magazine

Working title

• The title for my magazine will be “Tunes”. Tunes is quite basic and

simple, which then is easy for the audience to remember. Tunes has

relation with music, and will then fit to name a music magazine.

Genre of music

• The genre of my magazine will be pop. Pop was the most popular

genre in my survey and in my interviews, so I will focus on my

audience and their relationship with the genre.

Cover price and issue frequency• The price of the magazine will be £2.50, so it is an affordable price for

everyone, specially students since the average age for my magazine is 16-19.

• I will publish my magazine once a month, this because I saw at my survey that

people read music magazines monthly or less than that. I will locate the

magazines in all the well known supermarkets so that they can easily be found.

Readerprofileand audience

The audience of my magazine are spontaneous teenagers who love music and be social. In my interview the three teenagers had a lot in common. They go to college, and use their spare time to really live and enjoy their time as a teenager. They like to go to concerts, and listen to artists like Beyoncé and Macklemore, which tells me that I have to focus on having artists in that sort of group in my magazine to make my audience want to read my magazine.
