This close up shot shows how young this boy is because he Is looking at things that he collects this shows us that he is too young to go to war yet he feels like he wants to because there has never been a war before so they want to know what it is like. Also because it it a close up we can see how much younger he looks to the other people we have seen so far.

This is a twin long shot and they have been placed slightly to the side so that you can see some of the things going on in the background therefore giving you a good field of view. In this shot you can see the two young people that are in love and he wants to propose to her because this shows that they are young because the older people would of don’t it different whereas he has rushed it because he knows he is going away.

The reason they have done this is because they want people watching to know that she doesn't want her son to go to war. Also because they have done this means that they will be able to see what she is thinking and we see that she is looking at her son like this but her son is happy about the sound of war.
