LET’S SUMMARIZECyril Boggis, a superb dealer in antique furniture, nine years ago, he was

rounding with his car in the country, when suddenly his car overheated and had to walk to a farmhouse to ask for a jug of water. There, was a special

armchair that called his attention and, finally, after some bargained, he gained it, cheaper than it was. Then, he discovered the wealthiness of the

countryside and decided coming every Sunday. Nine years later, he went to another farmhouse where three men were chatting. He stopped them and,

subsequently, he could enter the house, where he found an incredible reproduction of the eighteenth-century, however, to get it, he had to cheat a

little. He told them it was very poor and that he only needed the legs, therefore, after negotiating a price with the men, when he took his course to his car, they wanted to give him the commodity of having it already the way

he wanted. Hence, they cut the legs and severed the commode to be firewood...

● Cyril Boggis: the main character of the story. Boggis is a superb dealer in antique furniture.He has his own shop and showroom in the King's Road, Chelsea, where he had achieved a considerable reputation by producing unusual items with astonishing regularity.Therefore he is a talented salesman who knows what the client wants. Obviously, he loves the work of the great eighteenth-century English designers. But he's not a normal dealer because he cheats people telling them that he's the President of the Society for the Preservation of Rare Furniture. And when he dresses as a clergyman to make the deals,. He was clever, smart, cunning, persuasive, wicked or witty

● Rumminis: an old and stumpy man owner of a farm in Buckinghamshire. He, and the next two men, are very suspicious and wary, and a little bit stupid & dumb.

● Bert: is Rummins' son.

● Claud: He's a farmer who lives near Rummins farm.
