Homework • Homework is copied in the assignment book daily.

• Please check to see that all assignments are completed.

• After reviewing homework assignments with your child, you may sign the assignment book if you like.

• Replacement cost for an assignment book is $5.00.

Student Responsibilities • Students are responsible daily for:

─ Arriving promptly and ready to learn, grow, and take risks

─ Being an active part of our learning community

– Giving 100% effort

– Copying and completing homework assignments.

– Reading 30 minutes and getting reading log signed daily.

– Test schedules

– Preparing for tests ahead of time at home

– Following school and classroom procedures, LIFESKILLS, and Lifelong Guidelines

Attendance • All students should be in the building by 8:00 AM.

• Students will be marked tardy if they enter the building at 8:10. Please sign your child in if they are tardy.

• Students cannot wait at the kiosk to be picked up. Please let your teacher know in advance if you want them to be ready by a certain time.

Absences & Leaving Early • When your child is absent, please send a written excuse on the

day of his or her return or email me. Please include reason for the absence and the date.

• If you would like to pick up assignments, please call early in the day. Work may be picked up after school has been dismissed unless other plans have been made.

• Please do not sign any students out after 2:15. This is district policy.

Transportation Changes • Please send in a note to your teacher for

any transportation changes.

• If changes are made during the day please call the Kelly Mill kiosk 714-1300, then press 2.

Snacks • Fifth graders eat lunch late in the day.

• Students are encouraged to bring water daily and

a small snack or two.

• Snacks must be healthy.

• No cookies, cakes, or candy please
