Learning Management System Evaluation

In my own class, i t ’s important to have a course with collaborative activit ies such as small group projects, and use j igsaw lesson plans. Communication is key to this course standard.

Building an Online Community

In any class online or in a face to face environment, building a community is important to the growth of each student. In a virtual classroom extra time and effort must be made in order to provide students with the tools and availability to make themselves into “real people”.

Accessibility

Online Education is a newer resource that is a major benefit to students with all different types of challenges. With technology as a tool, students who would have a harder time with a physical classroom can succeed in an environment built to their own individual needs.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any specific features to make EDU 2.0 a completely accessible learning platform. Of course it is possible to upload many multi-media tools such as audio and movie files. It would be nice to see a Learning Management System that had text-to-voice and speech-to-text features. However, it seems to be only the instructor’s responsibility to create a course that is accessible to its students.

Ease of Use

The easy to read and accessible tabs make navigation a breeze for the student and teacher users. There is no need to browse from window to window in order to complete simple, immediate tasks such as sending a message, posting a new date, or turning in an assignment. Edu 2.0 has constructed their platform to be a transparently organized learning environment. Even students with the less amount of computer experience will find the Edu 2.0 layout logical.

After extensively researching and analyzing Edu 2.0 online learning platform, I can conclude that Edu 2.0 is an effective online learning management system.
