CHILDHOOD

Olaudah Equiano was born in the kingdom of Benin in 1745. At the age of eleven he was taken by slave importers and took part in a voyage called the middle passage. They docked outside of the English colony of Barbados where a beat of a drum was made and hundreds of buyers ran to find the slave they liked most.

PRE-TEEN YEARS

No one bought Equiano because he was just a young boy at the age of 12. but He was soon sold to a lieutenant in the British war.

Free again

when Equiano was a slave for Robert king he wanted to be free so he sold glass on the side. Eventually he saved 40 pounds ($3,700) it was enough to buy his freedom.

To Europe When Olaudah bought his freedom he went back to Europe. Then he got a farther education in reading and in math .

olaudah equino was involved in the seven year war because he was supposed to carry gunpowder for all the men.

equino traveled to london and became involved in the abolitionist he was a well known speaker to all the abolitionist.

equino was a well known man for every thing he did, everybody loved him.

• He died in the year of 1797 just before he returned to his home land in Africa.
