ProblemProblem High scoring yet low achieving group of

sophomores. Students were identified that had an

imbalance in test scores (CSAP) verses GPA or attendance record.

Average student GPA at the beginning of the semester was 1.87 and test scores were comparatively examined.

ActionAction Students were identified and grouped into two classes,

one per quarter. Critical Skills and Health

All students were assigned to the same counselor who would be actively involved in their classes and implement supplemental lessons.

Lessons were tailored and designed to address specific problem areas for that group of students.

Students would also participate in additional activities geared to enhance overall experience within the class CSU Ropes Course
