Enhancements vs. Bugs

We make a strong differentiation between enhancements and bugs.

A bug is a situation where the application does not perform as defined in the requirements documents. Bugs are generally fixed very quickly. 45 items were identified as bugs since late October. All but 3 have been corrected.

21

Enhancements

Enhancements are changes that were not identified as part of the original requirements.

Enhancements are all reviewed by the System Office WDS and ITS prior to being implemented.

Some enhancements require review by the WDS Advisory Council and by other business areas.

22

Three Phases of Enhancements

Version 1.1 – Either very small changes or changes required for go live. Expected to be implemented prior to integration with Online App.

Version 1.5 – Larger changes or changes that are dependent upon Online App functionality. Projected for 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2009.

Version 2.0 – Changes that will come after Online App.

23

Version 1.1 Enhancements

Allow Institutions to determine whether Campus should be part of Search page and the class descriptions.

Show contact information on the receipt. Support Alternate Payee on Credit Card (done). Additional instructions on Search Page and clearer

Error Messages. Several minor look and feel changes.

24

Version 1.5 Enhancements

Reconcile all differences between the Online App and Non-Credit Web Registration.

Review 2 hour cut off for registration. Analyze options for supporting ESL

enrollments. Allow registrations from students whose

charges are not yet due.
