Exception: singular nouns that start with “a” use the masculine possessive article.

Ex: amie is feminine, but to say my friend- use mon amie to avoid the ma….amie sound.

It does not matter you are a boy or a girl- what matters is the gender of the object.

My calculator- calculatrice is feminine, so it’s Ma calculatrice- even if it is a boy’s calculator. To say his calculator- it’s sa calculatrice

Les Verbes- -er

Penser/ Commencer/ Déjeuner/ Coûter/ Compter/ Chercher/ Trouver

All are –er verbs, so all use the –er endings Je e Nous ons Tu es Vous ez Il/Elle e Ils/Elles ent Pour Practiquer: I think a lot. The class begins at 7:00. He eats lunch in the restaurant. The hot dog costs $2. We count the calculators. They are looking for his house. They find his house.

Negative

Remember, to make sentences negative, you need a ne (n’) and a pas surrounding your verb. Let’s make the sentences negative:

I don’t think a lot. The class doesn’t begins at 7:00. He doesn’t eats lunch in the restaurant. The hot dog doesn’t cost $2. We don’t count the calculators. They aren’t looking for his house. They don’t find his house.
