When starting a new topic in class we begin with a simple PowerPoint.
We view it together in circle time at the white board, and in it we identify our targets.
We link to songs / stories / websites we all ready know and use.
We introduce a key song or story to use as a regular starting point.
We add to the PowerPoint as the topic progresses.
It provides a useful plenary to recap our work.
“The Mr Men” proved to be a great topic that interested the pupils and enabled us to
have lots of fun with sensory and movement activities.
We explored colours, shapes and measures,
looked at feelings and shared our favourite things.
