This is Alastair, I auditioned him for my magazine because he has great posture, he has been in other modelling photo shoots before which would give him an advantage to the magazine and what I would like to work with. Alastair looks like a musician and would support the blues roll, he also would fit the part because he has the model features like muscle and stylish hair which would make the magazine stand out more. Alastair can use a variety of poses and suites a variety of clothing which helps to create the character used on the front cover and throughout the magazine. Alastair’s posture helps with the model pose because the customer would want to be more like the model ( Alastair) and use his style as a idol to copy. Over all Alastair would be a great choice because he has a great fascia and character to become a music artist on the front cover of the blues magazine.

This is Joe, I auditioned him for my magazine because he would be a suitable for a blues musician on the front cover and other pages contained inside the magazine, he has great model poses that he could use to make the magazine stand out. Joe has the look of a blues musician and so would fit with the criteria with the blues magazine that I need. Joe has intended to use his experience to show a variety of poses which shown he has the capability of becoming the model for the magazine, this is because he is tall and skinny and his outlook would be advisable to look like a blues musician. Joes choice of pose in this photo shows that he is focused and willing to conduct his ideas to the character on the front cover and through-out the magazine. Over all Joe would be a great choice but his ideas could be improved to show more of a musician look then a cloths advertisement model look.

This is Simon, I auditioned him for my magazine because he has great word ethnicity about his character, he has a variety of different model poses he could use. Simon would be good to use because the genre of blues comes from a black background which would make Simon fit the part, he also has aesthetics which would make him stand out on the magazine for the customer to see. Simon shows interest into the modelling shoot but does not have the right intensions for the character and stance to become a look a like blues musician. I would like to take Simon further but he does not have the attitude to become the musician. Simon does not have straight posture and does not have the right out look for the Character. Over all Simon wouldn’t fully suit the part even though his ethnic group would suit a blues musician.

This is Tom, I auditioned him to be the model for my magazine because he has a model look about him, he has stylish hair, great posture, has been a model before which gives him a advantage. Tom has a blues musician look about him which fits the criteria of the magazine I need, he has a musical talent that also would fit with the criteria and also he would make the magazine stand out because of his model features and model looks of a blues player. Tom can produce a variety of poses that help to create the character for the front of the blues magazine, he can also play a variety of instruments which help to give the realistic vision that he is a blues musician. Tom conducts him self to show that he is interested into the character and can enhance the characters capability that he is a new and up coming blues musician. Tom has great posture and has a great out look about him, he would be perfect to play as a blues musician because he has the right body type and fascia like a blues musician. Over all Tom has a great potential to become the main model for my magazine and front cover.

This is Liam, I auditioned him for the magazine because he looks like a blues player, he can be linked to look like one of the blues brothers which is an advantage because it would make the magazine stand out. Liam has good posture and a musician character about him, he has a variety of poses that would be useful for a photo shoot with him. Liam has had experience in modelling and photo shoots for cloths range and this would be a positive aspect because if he was to be chosen he would suit the cloths for the character which would be a suit. Liam can produce a range of poses and shows great ambition for the part, he can play the piano and guitar which also gives a positive because he can relate to the character. I have chosen Liam for my top 5 models because he has had experience, shows huge interest into the character and is consistent. Over all Liam would suit the part of the blues musician and would help the magazine to show that it is a blues magazine with out looking at the masthead or inside

For my music magazine blues cover, I had a picture of my model playing the piano, this was done in casual clothes, This was because the location and time of day we had to take the photos and the limited resources we had. The costume I would of like my model to wear would be a black suit

because that is what a blues musician would normally wear and it is a tradition for them to wear a type of suit, this can also be stereotyped at

blues musician. I also wanted my model to wear a white shirt which would blend in with the black and white effect. A top hat would also be useful

because its help to create the character of a blues player. I want to use a piano as a prop to make the front cover stand out, this will help to promote the magazine more and show that it is a blues magazine.

My intentions for props

Page 8: Models and props

One of the main props I want for my magazine is the piano, this is because it is know to be part of blues music and is a attractive instrument that’s stands out. I decided to choose this instrument because it is a striking and attractive instrument which will catch the eye of its targeted audience and even other audiences who would be attracted to the Magazines front cover. The Shape of the magazine can be transformed into a background shape or text box which will also make the magazine more attractive and stand out to be of professional standards. The Piano can be made to be black and wrote and still stand out because the black and white keys, this will also give off a reflective glow to the keys in the light when taking the front cover photograph and can be photo shopped to have more of a reflective glow and would be more attractive as well.

For the clothing of the musician on the front cover and through out the magazine. My chosen idea would be for him to wear a suit, this is because that blues musicians are known to wear suits and it would also make the model look classy and more attractive which would help the magazine stand out because it would look more professional. The suits would show that the character is a professional musician and that he puts thought into his music and style to show his image is of a blues player. My chosen model would wear a suit in which I intend to use as clothing, this will make an impact as well using the black and white effect I wish to use on the front cover and the customer would be attracted to the out look of the magazine and the model including the cloths he is wearing.

I would want to use a top hat because this helps the model stand out more and gives him more character to become a blues musician. The top hat is most known in the music industry to belong to blues players and is a tradition to wear top hats sometimes when playing. The hat also can be linked to the film ‘The blues brothers’, this would make the magazine stand out more because the customer would know it reminds them of the film and the band ‘blues brothers’ . The hat would stand out on the front cover because it would intergrade with the black and white effect and show that the magazine is professional and classy.
