Procedure text tells the steps or ways to do or to use something through a sequence of actions.
DEFINITION
To instruct how something should be done through a series of sequenced steps.(untuk mengajarkan bagaimana sesuatu ituseharusnya dilakukan melalui beberaparangkaian langkah-langkah)To tell how to make or do something or use something.
PURPOSE
• Goal/aim (title)
• Materials/equipment/ingredients (optional)
• Steps
GENERAL STRUCTURE
Use Simple Present Tense
Often imperative sentences
Use sequential words such as first, second, third, then, next, finally, at last, etc
Use sequence of orders or steps. All steps are given in chronological order

For example
Ingredients:
egg
Sausage
Potato
Onion

Steps:
1. Firstly, crack an egg and put into a bowl.
2. Next, peel and dice the potato.
3. After that, slice the sausage
4. Then, dice the onion
5. After that, mix the potato, sausage, and onion with the egg,
6. Finally, fry the mixture.
