Arogya Yojana was started in year 2003 with following aims:

Promotion and advancement of health care education in tribal and distant villages.

Make villages self dependant in health & Hygiene.

Bridge the gap between the under privileged villagers & the present day healthcare delivery system

Present No of Children in Ekal School – 14,82,326Nearly 26,00,000 children have been benefited so far. 7000 Full-time workers are involved in this Movement. Through Gram Samitis around 20 lac villagers got involved in school working

Around 70% Ekal teachers and workers are Ex. Ekal Vidyalaya Students.

Many Ekal Teachers graduated to become govt. Schools teachers

A few teachers even bagged best teacher award (Bengal, Vidarbha)

Ekal student Pinki Karmakar ran for India with London Olympic Torch, in Nottingham Square on 28th June, 2012 at 12 Noon (London Time). She studied in Barbaruah Tea Garden Village Ekal Vidyalaya in Assam for three years.
