The Tuskegee Links On January 4, 1962, twenty two outstanding

women in the Tuskegee community joined to form the Eight O’ Clocks, the initial step in becoming a chapter of the Links, Incorporated. The officers were: Mrs. Huldah Owen, President, Mrs. Corinne Steele, Vice President, Mrs. Emma Walker, Secretary and Mrs. Ada Peters, Treasurer and Liaison Officer. They were sponsored by the Montgomery Chapter of Links. In December 1962, Link Norvaleate Downing installed the Eight O’ Clocks as members of the National Links, Incorporated.

Over the years, the Tuskegee Links have

enriched our communities through dedicated service and enduring friendships.
