Quality personal and Family life skills education for the military community.

The high school experience can be one of the most rewarding periods during a teen-

regardless of the goal a student may have (attend a four year college, technical college, the military or joining the work force), he or she must have the skills to be successful. The more education you get the more likely it is you will always have a job. According to one estimate, by the year 2028 there will be 19 million more jobs for educated workers than there are qualified people to fill them (ACT 2013).

Parents should also visit the school as often as possible. I realize that most parents work and that visiting a school isn’t the top priority. However, I also understand that when students see their parents take an active interest in their high school experience, they (the student) perform with greater confidence and achievement. Parental involvement also sends a strong message to the adults in the school. It says we as a community value education and we respect our educators.
