Objectives: Students will be able to discuss and write about their belief in ghosts based on a Halloween
reading.
Stage of Lesson Activity Time
Warm up Ask students to discuss what they
know and think about ghosts and
superstition.
Students see how many words
they can make from superstition.
Students may not use a letter
more than once unless it appears
more than once in the word itself.

a True/False exercise related to
the article.

have students read aloud in pairs
and correct their answers.

Activity 4 Give them Handouts, which
contain the text about
Halloween, and in groups they
must fill the gaps with the words
from the text.

Ghost stories have been with humankind for thousands of years. There are written accounts from the
Chinese
