Become the expert • Research your given organisation/alliance and find out the following:

• 1. Background information eg when set up, by whom

• 2. Give examples of its global impact

• 3. Which superpowers gain most from it?

• Critique your given organisation/alliance – how effective is.

• Military – NATO and the Australia, New Zealand and the United States Security Treaty (ANZUS)

• Economic – the EU, NAFTA and ASEAN

• Environmental – IPCC

• Political – UN (Security Council, International Court of Justice, peace keeping missions and climate change conferences)
