Welcome to JTED Culinary Arts!
• Locate the pair to the card you were given at the door.
• If you have completed your enrollment paperwork, you will stay in the classroom for JTED Olympics!
• If you do not have your enrollment paperwork completed you will join Ms. Wilsey in the Dining Room to fill out the necessary information and will join us tomorrow for more JTED Olympics!
Objectives
• Students will be able to:
• Create a structure as a team.
• Communicate effectively with group members to complete team building tasks.
• Demonstrate time management skills.

Competition #1Marshmallow and Spaghetti Tower
• Objective: build the tallest tower using the items supplied in the time allowed (10 min.).
• Supplies: marshmallows and spaghetti
• Skills: teamwork, sportsmanship, effective use of supplies, time management, communication
Competition #2Straw Drop
• Objective: drop the most straws into bottles from the distance of one chair height in the time allowed (3 min.).
• Supplies: straws and bottles
• Skills: precision, sportsmanship, concentration, time management
Competition #3Spoon/Dice Race
• Objective: rotating around the table, roll the pair of dice, collecting a spoon by rolling pair of “4’s”. the team that collects the most amount of spoons in the time (1 min.) allowed wins.
• Supplies: dice and spoons
• Skills: sportsmanship, time
management, speed
Competition #4Puzzle
• Objective: assemble puzzle as a group in the time allowed (3 min.).
• Supplies: puzzles
• Skills: accuracy, sportsmanship,
teamwork, concentration, time
