One day I was just

minding my own business getting prepared to precipitate in a cloud when all of a sudden a group of H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) came drifting up from a nearby forest fire and surrounded me and my friends. All water molecules know that if sulfuric acid comes anywhere near you then you need to move on to the next step in the water cycle immediately.

Drifting- floating

The H2SO4 was surrounding me and all of my moleculan buddies. We needed our host, Cloud, to precipitate us quickly. Cloud agreed that he was full and needed to precipitate so we all poured out.

“Thank you Cloud!!”

As I was falling from the cloud, I grouped together with some my buddies and plunged for the ground. When we hit the dirt we all broke apart and then joined an even bigger group of molecules running down into a river.

*Plunged- to fall to ground

“Whew” we all exclaimed. We all knew that we had just about been dried up. We were all still a little hot and dry from the sulfuric acid so we went on an adventure to try to be purified.

“That sulfuric acid sure does dry me up!”

The first step we took to being purified started after we floated into the stream. We gushed from a waterfall into a small pond the pace of water movement slowed down remarkably. It felt good to get to rest.

Then, after about a day a white tailed deer came to the pond to get an afternoon drink he walked over near me and drank me down.

While I was in the deer nothing very interesting happened, well because I was in a deer. After about 2 days when the deer was running away from prey I was perspired out and evaporated.

While being evaporated I was attached with other molecules and cleansed of minerals like salt and other substances that are dissolved in water are left behind. As a result, when the water vapor condenses to become water again, it is pure.
