  4. 4. What is cooperative education and how does it help you? Academic program Allows students to combine classroom instruction with degree-related work experience Allows students to apply classroom instruction to professional employment settings Strengthen students marketability upon graduation Develop professional work goals, skills and habits, earn competitive salaries, and make valuable career contacts
  5. 5. How to get an internship through VSU 1. Register for Co-op and complete a resume. Call the Co-op office for more details on registration 2. Update registration and resume as needed 3. Communicate information regarding job search or job placement to Co-op Coordinator 4. Check VSU email account a minimum of two times per week for information regarding Co-op
  6. 6. Qualifications Intend to graduate from VSU or a university who participates in a recognized transfer program Obtain sophomore status (30 hours) before being placed in a Co-op position Academic "Good Standing( 2.0 GPA)
