Location & Habitat
Jaguars live in Central and South America. A jaguar’s habitat is in the rainforest, the swamp and floodplains.
PreyJaguars are carnivores. They eat deer, capybara and tapire.
Special features
A jaguar has sharp teeth to hold on to its prey while it runs. A jaguar keeps its claws sticking out so it can grip the ground when its ready to run.
Color
A jaguar’s fur can be tan, yellow, brown, white and black.
How fast does a jaguar run?
A jaguar can run 50 miles per hour but can only run for a little bit before having to stop.

A jaguars scientific name is panthera onca.
