What is the role of Internet in oursociety? What role does it plays? Is ita production tool or, conversely, ablight on modern times? All of theseissues arise in time in which Internettake more space in our daily lives.
Internet is an information tool more and more present in people's lives
In the crucial momentsof our lives, whendecisions must be taken…
…Internet is often seen as thequickest and most convenientway to make his choice.
But what is Internet?
Internet it is fantastic !!!
Internet it is also lessfunny…
Huge spread, still growing up!Already more than 100 million sites!
A lot of useful information atminimal cost (encyclopedias, transport, databases, graphics, libraries, etc.)..
Rapid communication: email, instantmessaging.
Opportunities to experience positive content, thus overcoming the monopoly of the media, often referred.
Free and open network without selection of content, except for some content that is severely punishable (terrorism, pedophilia, fraud, CB, etc.)..
Offers some contents with no scientific value (false or unreliable), or even harmful nature (pornographic, violent, racist,...)
Paradoxically, may be isolatethe user from others, and limitother activities.
The proper use of Internet
Except for the case of children, is "burned" on Internet the onewho wants to be burned, or who likes to play with fire!
•The problem with Internet is a problem of moral education and firmness in the convictions of the user.
• The ethical issue is its "use law", in other words, the training and virtue required for its use.
Any technical means (filter, control, etc..) can't replace such training and to use rightly under this instrument.
Let's try to conclude ...
In conclusion, any intense concentration on Internet ishumanly and ethically wrong.
Its use should not be isolated fromothers (friends, social relations), orlimit outdoor activities, readingbooks or magazines, use of games, sports, writing, film, theater, etc..
