Innovation Defined

The term "innovate," is defined loosely as: "to make changes in something established, especially by introducing new methods, ideas, or products.”

What does innovation mean to you?

… a shift to truly personalized, competency-based

instruction, while still maintaining integrity in meeting

course goals and objectives.

Message to Students

My goal this semester is a shift to truly personalized, competency-based instruction, while still maintaining integrity in meeting course goals and objectives - a big request all around.

Facilitating the movement to personalized instruction, first requires that I loosen my grip on control of ALL course activities, and second requires you to take primary responsibility for your

own learning. So with that in mind, the tasks and activities I have planned are designed to allow you as much control as I, or you,

can possibly manage.

Project DescriptionOne of your primary responsibilities this semester will be the development and sharing of a major deliverable that is determined through self-selection and

negotiation.
