(My way of teaching)

1. Choose one option from the choices given.2. Use the information from the table to help to list

flow. (Besides, Therefore, Moreover etc.) However, use them appropriately and not for

every sentence.

Some tips to remember

I would choose ……….. because I think it is the best.

I would choose ……….. because it is the most suitable.

I would choose ……….. because I like it very much. I would choose ……….. because my mother likes it

very much.

Writing the Introduction

Start your paragraph with your option and give the reason why you choose that option.

Examples:

Your own reason will be better.

It is cheap and costs only RM20.

It is the cheapest among the three (items).

The price is RM70. Although it is expensive, it is affordable.

It is a reasonable fee and I think I can afford it.

The price, which is RM50, is reasonable and affordable.

It is economical to choose this package because the price is within my budget.

Price / Fee / Fare / Cost

The price is low. The fee is not too

expensive. Furthermore, I will get a RM10 discount if I choose this and pay less.

It costs RM12 each and it is the cheapest of all.

It is worth buying. Its fee is the lowest of all. Although its price is quite

costly, I will get an item for free.

I like to be a teacher when I grow up because I can impart knowledge to pupils.

I prefer to be a doctor when I grow up because I can treat sick people and save lives.

I can contribute my service to the poor people.

Being a pilot is interesting because I get to travel around the world. I can visit many different countries all over the world. Besides, I can meet many kinds of people and learn about their culture and traditions.

Occupation

I choose to be a policeman because I can keep law and order. It is my responsibility to keep the town safe and peaceful. This job is challenging although it is sometimes dangerous.

This job is enjoyable and I get to meet many people.

This occupation is suitable for me. / It suits me.

It is highly paid. / The salary is high.

The qualification needed is a university degree.

I prefer outdoor activities to indoor activities because they are more exciting, adventurous and challenging.

I can enjoy the fresh air while cycling around the neighbourhood.

Working indoor is more comfortable and I am protected from the sun and the rain.

Swimming is a good form of exercise because it strengthens the muscles of every part of the body. It keeps me fit and healthy.

Collecting stamps is interesting and beneficial. We can gain a lot of knowledge about countries all over the world.

Activities

Reading can improve our general knowledge, vocabulary and grammar. I can become more knowledgeable.

Singing is entertaining and fun. It is my favourite activity and I am very talented in singing.

Joining the Music Club gives the chance to play musical instruments and make new friends.

I get the chance to represent my school in sports. I can keep up the good name of my school. I will be proud if I win the first prize in the sports meet.

Co-curricular activities help me to become an active, responsible and disciplined person.

The double-storey house is quite near my school. It is convenient to go to school because I just have to walk with my friends.

The semi-detached bungalow is spacious. Therefore, it is suitable for my big family. I am sure my family will feel comfortable living in it.

I prefer the house on the hill overlooking the park because of the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings.

Living in a terraced house is interesting because we can have many friends. The friendly neighbours can help us too.

Houses / Homestay

In addition, there is a small garden near the house and we can grow many colourful flowering plants.

I am sure my father will like this house because the porch in front is big enough for parking two cars.

I am sure my family will love this homestay because of the green surroundings and the beautiful scenery. Besides, it is quiet and peaceful.

Staying at this homestay will be wonderful as my family likes nature. They can go for jungle trekking and take photographs of wild insects and unique plants.

I would choose this sport shirt for my father because it is suitable for him. It is comfortable to wear and he can wear it when he goes for his sports activities. It makes him looks stylish and sporty.

The long-sleeved shirt suits my father well as he will look smart in it. Besides, he can wear it to important functions like meetings and business trips.

The long skirt with flowered pattern suits my mother and she will look beautiful in it. Besides, it is fashionable and attractive. My mother can wear it when she attends a party with her friends.

Clothing / Shoes

The shoes are comfortable for my brother to wear. They are made from good quality leather, so they will last longer. Moreover, it is the most popular brand nowadays and it is my brother’s favourite brand. He can wear them to school or for an outing.

The sandals come in three colour which are blue, black and white. My sister likes black, so I can choose the black one for her. Moreover, the sandals are made in Malaysia and my sister loves local products.

My family loves durian because it is creamy and delicious. It is rich in carbohydrates and vitamin.

The orange contains Vitamin C which keeps us healthy. We can either eat it fresh or make it into a drink. We can buy them from the market or supermarket.

I prefer local fruits because they are cheaper and fresher. Eating fresh fruits is good for health. We will not fall sick if we eat fresh fruits everyday.

The mangoes are rich in vitamins. It is good to eat then when they are fresh. Mango juice is a popular drink too.

It is delicious and appetizing.

It is nutritious, tasty and appetizing.

I would choose to go to Terengganu because my uncle lives there. I want to meet my cousins whom I have not seen since last year. My uncle’s house is by the sea and I want to enjoy the spectacular view of the seaside especially watching the sun sets. Moreover, I can also play with my cousins on the beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the seaside. Besides, I can collect some seashells at the beach for my Science project and get more marks for my folio. I am looking forward for my forth coming holiday and I am sure I will enjoy my holiday this year.

Which place would you suggest for your holiday?

I would choose to go to Pulau Pinang because I want to meet my aunty who lives there. She lives in an apartment in the city and it is easier for my family to do our shopping. Moreover, I can play computer games with my cousins and take the chance to challenge them. Besides, I will have the chance to swim in the pool and ask my aunty to teach me how to swim. I cannot wait for my school holidays and I am looking forward for it. I am sure I have made a right decision for spending my holidays this year.

Which place would you suggest for your holiday?

I would choose to go to Sarawak because I want to meet my grandparents who live there. I miss them and I want to spend this holiday with them. They live in a wooden long house and I am sure I will have the chance to meet many friends who live there. Moreover, the long house is near the river, so this will be my chance to swim in the river. Besides, I can go for jungle trekking and learn some of the wild and natural habitats of the jungle. In addition, I can help my grandparents to collect fruits from the orchard and help them sell the fruits at the nearby market. I am looking forward for my holidays and I am sure I have made a right decision where to spend my holidays this year.
