Innovation Grants (iGrants)The Why

Push our thinking about professional development beyond the traditional conferences and seminars.

Expand the notion of how teachers grow as professionals.

The How

In groups or alone, take Friday (or Thursday night through Sunday evening)

Use your $250 Grant to do anything that inspires your best thinking.

Seek an alternate environment and alternate ideas whether that is attending an arts festival, visiting a company or walking in the woods.

The WhatMarch 4, 2011: A day to pursue innovative ideas outside the world of secondary education.

• The goal is to travel beyond our daily paradigm, past the halls of school, to gain insight into our practice through another lens.

Important Note: To be reimbursed you MUST submit receipts and a reimbursement requests Matt Delaney who will forward them to the business office. You do not have to have your ideas or expenditures pre-approved.

Grant Parameters/Reimbursement Guidelines

Grant funds are focused on supporting faculty activities connected to innovation (e.g. travel costs, meals, experiences).

*Funds are not intended to purchase concrete items.

Grant funds are provided for activities on March 4, 2010. (March 3rd-6th)

Expenditures made in advance or after these dates can be reimbursed at anytime. (see e-mail about reimbursement process)
