Where I’m From

I’m from a father, who won many battles,

Who transformed my country in many great ways.

I’m from a childhood where learning,

about science, medicine and

philosophy interested me, and helped

me as I became older.

I’m from the southern part of the Balkan Peninsula.

I am a conqueror, a military genius,

The first to be “ the Great”.

I love drama, flutes and the lyre

make me happy, but glory

and valor is what I crave.

I helped my father defeat the

Elite army of Greece when I was a

mere boy, in the year 388 B.C.

I’m from a ruling a country since I was 16.

Making choices everyday wasn’t always

easy for me, but I knew I had to do it.

I’m from a throne that had control

over a large empire.

I had a city named after me in

Egypt, along the Nile River.

I was never able to see the great city

of Alexandria, but I knew

it would be spectacular.

I’m from an empire, that

had the support of the people.

I’m from fighting battle after

battle with my trusted horse

Bucephalus, and when he was

wounded in India, I was heartbroken.

I AM Alexander the Great!
