MAIN RESEARCH QUESTION :-

HOW CAN YOU MAKE YOUR

MEALS GREENER…???

GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES.

What do you mean by Green Meals?

Having your meals regularly on a daily basis is our routine but having Green stuff everyday isn't. We need to improve this and taking this into consideration we want everyone to contribute in eating green and healthy everyday. This is known as Green Meals. It is also cheaper and contributes to less carbon dioxide emission.

A day of proper Green Diet.

Contribution of CO2 emission due to my meal.

Carbon calculators typically calculate the amount of carbon a person is responsible for through their daily activities which is calculated in tons. Our simple meal can also lead to a huge amount of emission of carbon dioxide. Atleast green food doesn’t contribute that much to carbon dioxide emission as other food does.

Curbing of Carbon Dioxide Emission.

If we plant more, especially the green vegetables, we can help in more production of oxygen and less of carbon dioxide. With this we also accomplish our task of growing green vegetables which emits less amount of carbon dioxide as compared to the other foods. This will also help in devising our meals greener than our average meals.

The following table shows the greenhouse gas emissions produced by one kilo of each food.

Carbon Foodprints.

Food’s carbon footprint, or foodprint, is the greenhouse gas emissions produced by growing, rearing, farming, processing, transporting, storing, cooking and disposing of the food you eat. Changing the foods that you eat can have a big impact on your carbon footprint. And reduce pollution, preserve the environment and slow global warming. Many of these changes will also save you money, improve your health and even keep you fit. If you move towards a mainly vegetarian diet, you can have a large impact on your personal carbon footprint.

How can you make your meals greener?

After going through so much of research work, we have come to the conclusion that we can make our meals greener if:-We put in more green leafy vegetables than

our normal everyday meal.We eat local food.We don’t eat packed food.Prevent ourselves in eating junk which does

not contain the required green veges.Grow more vegetables plants as it

contributes in less emission of CO2 as well.
