Definition of Library

A place set apart to contain books, periodicals, and other material for reading, viewing, listening, study, or reference, where books may be read or borrowed.

A building or room containing collections of books, periodicals, and sometimes films and recorded music for people to read, borrow, or refer to.

A place in which literary, musical, artistic, or reference materials (as books, manuscripts, recordings, or films) are kept for use but not for sale.
