OBSERVATION SHEETThere are learning resources useful for my chosen topic in the resource center I
have visited. Most of the materials present in the resource center are very useful for the
topic.
Verily, the available materials are appropriate for my target grade level. There are
books, dictionaries and even encyclopedias which serve as my foundation and core for
their learning needs.
The learning materials that can be very useful for my topic are the books, pictures,
flash cards and even tapes.
The other materials that I can make to ensure that my teaching is really effective
and meaningful are like cut-out cartolinas written with different sentences, a comic strip,
drawing and a selection in a manila paper I will see to it that these could cause their full
understanding with my topic.

My Analysis
Three benefits of doing a survey of available materials before making your own materials are the following:
Low-cost or Economical. You can save money because you can utilize those available materials and make best use of them. You will on purchase materials which are not available in the resource center. In doing so, you can spend money a bit little amount.
Hassle-free. It will lessen the burden in your part because you will only exert efforts in making to those which are not available.
Time will be minimized. Since you will be utilizing the available materials, you won’t have a lengthy time to be consumed in making the materials but instead spend much of your time in studying the topic to ensure effective teaching

My Reflections
Among the materials I have decided to make use in teaching, I like the making of
cut-out cartolina written with different kind of sentences because this could give a hint on
my students’ part and could give them idea on what are the kinds of sentences. Through
example sentences, they will be guided to the fullest and probably will be their reference
for future purposes.
The difficulties I have encountered while I’m on the process of making was
making of cut-out cartolinas written with sentences, drawing, and the selection in a
manila paper. Unfortunately, I am not blessed to have legible hand writing. I have a hard
time everytime I write in a plane parchment. In drawing, I absolutely don’t know how to
draw nicely and realistically. However, I was able to overcome my weaknesses through
successive rewriting and simultaneous attempt to draw nice. After all, a am shocked for I
was able to surpass my weaknesses.
There are three tips I could offer to teachers regarding preparation of teaching
materials. First, do a survey. Check if there are available materials appropriate for the
topic to lessen the expenses. Second, see to it that the materials you will use are user-free,
understandable, and handy. Last, make sure to evaluate or asses the materials prior to
actual teaching if it is effective enough.
