2012 "WinterXcape" WinterFest Don't miss the "2012 WinterXcape WinterFest" at Maple Ridge Center!!
There will be plenty to do...horse drawn sleigh rides, dog sled rides, cardboard sled race, petting zoo,
geocaching (snowshoes and skis provided), cross country skiing, snowman building contest, snow angel
making, indoor/outdoor games for all, food and refreshments and snow tubing on the best tubing hill in the

YMCA Folksmarch
First Time Walkers - Free; $3.50; $1 children (6-15)
Register at Arrowhead Lodge between 8 am and 11 am on the Saturday, or between 1 and 3 pm on the
Sunday.
Walkers walk at their own pace and finish at any time. Routes are either 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles)
and are clearly marked. Individuals may walk a shorter, modified route if they prefer. This is a non-
competitive walking event.
Greater Syracuse YMCA members and first-time walkers walk free. People are encouraged to purchase a
Folksmarch Passport to log their distance and to get on the mailing list for our newsletter.

Celebrate love and loved ones at Valentine’s in the Forest, and support the hard-working volunteers of the
Nordic Ski Patrol with a buffet dinner and live entertainment in the Skyline Lodge at Highland Forest
County Park. Each evening begins with a cheese & vegetable platter and live entertainment followed by a
candle-lit dinner which features carved roast prime rib of beef, oven roasted chicken, and riggies with
vodka sauce. After dinner guest will enjoy horse drawn sleigh rides, a commemorative photograph and a
bon fire, or folks may opt to remain at the lodge and dance the night away to live music.
