Mexico City and his coffin was draped with the flag of the Mexican Communist Party, a fact that was widely criticized by the national press.

• His body was cremated and his ashes home to the Blue House in Coyoacan, the place where she was born.

• The last words in his diary were: "I hope the exit is joyful and hope never to return. "

• Four years after his death, the Blue House became the Museo Frida Kahlo.
