How did you attract/address your audience?

Considering our film is based upon witchcraft, the primary audience will be aged from 12 to 18 years old, this is because the younger generation have more of an interest in films like ours. Evangeline attracts this type of audience due to the fact that it is based around a group of teenagers and the main character is in fact a teenager.

Secondary Audience However there is the chance that more mature adults will have

an interest in our film also, as they may have read the book, or have a general interest in the genre itself. Maybe people up to the ages of around 40 years old. These people may enjoy our film as it is something different compared to other films in that the whole idea is a unique selling point. The parents of the teenagers that the film is aimed at, are also part of the secondary audience as they may have an interest in the film when they come across their child watching Evangeline.

Music Choice

In our film opening we used 2 separate songs. Firstly we used the song called ‘Soda’ by The Cinematic Orchestra. This was used during the beginning of the opening where the voiceover is occurring. I think that the music works well here as it has an eerie effect which compliments the voiceover. The other song we used was called ‘Breathe Me’ by Sia. This song was used after Evangeline opens her eyes and everything starts to rewind. This relates to our target audience as it has a modern feel to it therefore our target audience will appeal to this, combined with the fact that it fits well with our movie.
