Masthead• My magazine masthead is fairly similar to the ones that

are currently in the media. It gives off a very traditional feel and is very classical and gives off an old-timey effect.

• I believe that my masthead is easily recognisable and is much easier to remember than some of the mastheads that are currently in the media.

Cover lines• My music magazine doesn’t have a large variety of font. Current

classical music magazine front covers tend to have lots of different fonts that separate the different stories. I believe that one font throughout the magazine is a very good way to link the pages together.

Central imageThe image that is on my front cover is very centralised. This follows the general trend within the media as many images on classical music magazine front covers are in the middle. This is a good place for the image as it draws the readers attention and links the image to the story.

Colours• The colours on my music magazine are very traditional and classic

witch links very well with the genre. The main colour that I used is not very common in the current media of classical music magazines but the other colours in the media are traditional like my colours. • I also think that the black and white works very well with the main

colour as it creates a very good contrast throughout the magazine.

Layout of contents page• The layout of my contents page is very similar to others in the current

media. It is very easy to find the information that you want to find which is a very good thing for a magazine.

Layout of DPS• The layout of my double page spread is like many others in the media.

The main difference is that my DPS seems a bit ‘emptier’ than the others in the media. The main thing that I can do to improve my DPS would be to include more information and put something around the edge of the page.

Secondary images• Most of my secondary images are on my contents page. All of them

seem to be relevant to the genre of my magazine and they all have the correct angles and give off the effect that I was aiming for. Some of them are also very similar to the images that are used in the current media which are created at a professional standard.

Fonts• The fonts that I have used are all similar but they are different from

one another. I find that using similar fonts between pages links the magazine together (this is also don’t with the colour). Also, all of the fonts give off a very traditional feel as the same fonts are used in other things that are old-fashioned.

Columns• For my contents page I have used three columns as it gives off a good

amount of information without there being too much for an average person to read. This is a very common thing to do in a music magazine as it is in many of the professional magazines that are currently in the media.• In my double page spread I have used only two columns. This breaks

away from the general trend in the media but I think that enough information is given even though it doesn’t look like there is much detail.
