Camerawork - Preliminary Task

When doing the preliminary task we included a variety of different shots to show we knew how to use the Sony Z1 camera. Although we were able to complete this due to lack of knowledge of this professional camera some of the shots weren’t level; as well as this there wasn’t a particular meaning behind it.

Camerawork - The Whistler

When filming our final piece we used the Canon 700D as this is the camera felt most comfortable with. Using a variety of different shots we were able to connote a meaning through each carefully thought out shot for example, The Whistler’s overall superiority is established at the end of our two minute sequence as he towers over her when she falls over.

Editing

Overall through editing the final products were both conveyed to the audience effectively but editing from the preliminary task to the final product was improved greatly. Although the preliminary task was 22 seconds, this allowed us to get a taster of what would be in store for creating the final product. As well as this we collected a lot more footage for the two minute sequence which allowed us to create an effective piece as we were able to be highly selective with what shots were compiled together concluding the filming segment.
