DESCRIPTION

I hear a lot of Non-Profit board members and executive directors seeking new donors in an effort to increase donations. What I also hear consistently, missing the opportunity to clean up their existing boards. Roles should be clearly defined, time tables should be set and performance criteria should be established and just like a business, if existing board members are not fulfilling their existing duties, there should be a serious conversation. Clean up your existing board before going out there looking for new board members.
