WHYDOIDREAM?

When we sleep, our bodiw relax 1 are at rest, but the mind2 never stops working entirely. That part 3 the mind that tells us what4 going on about us goes to 5, but another part of the mind 6 stillactive. That other part creates 7 visual images or pictures that we8 dreams. When we wake up: we 9 sometimes remember our dreamswhich, at 10 , seem quite as real to us 11 things that have happenedwhen we 12 wide awake.

Some dreams seem short, 13 we rcmembcr them afterward.and some 14 to go on and on. There 15 even been cases wherethe story 16 a dream is continued from night 17 night, almost like acontinued story 18 a magazine. Sometimea, when you dream, 19yourself scem to be acting out 20 main part of the dream, or 21 maybe just a spectator or 22 is going on. Your dreams may 23 funny, and you may wake up 24. Or they may be sad or 25. ,

There is a great dud that 26 do not yet understand aboutdreams. 27 people think that our dreams do 28 mean anything atall. Many modem 29 beiieve that, if we could understand 30 dreams, they could tell us much 31 our feelings and our attitudes toward 32The character of our dreams usually 33 as we go on through life. 34people’s dreams are usually much more 35 than those of children.Children often 36 of doing things that they would 37 to be able to dowhen 38 are awake.
