Class Difference The excavation at Mohenjodaro

indicate that different groups of people existed in the society.

There are two types of class by which a society is a divided they are learned class and commercial class .

Learned class include priests, rulers etc and commercial class includes merchants etc.

House differences• There were also house differences in Harappan society .• The big house were meant for the rich.• while parallel rows of two rooms , cottage were used by the poorer section of the society.

Dresses and fashion Harrapan people were also

existed in dress and fashion. There were upper and lower

garments for people. The former was worn over

the left shoulder and under the right arm.

Women wore a short skirt.

Both man and women kept long hair and wore jewellery like necklaces , bangles or girdles.

Some find at Chanhudaro also indicates the use of lipsticks .
