Narration: During this lesson we will discuss the life and times of the U. S. Morgan dollar coin and answer some questions. If an image of Liberty shows on the front of this dollar, where did it get the name "Morgan?" What were the life and times during which the the Morgan Silver Dollar was minted: --1878 was the first year up to 1904 (as the main span of years for minting the Morgan) --Then the Morgan was minted again in 1921, --1921 was the last year it was minted. We will review the Morgan timeline and consider your family's history during those times. Learning objectives Take the guided self-assessment at the end to see how much you learned.
