A stationary object will make a sound travel in all directions, however if the object is moving, what will happen to the waves in front of the object compared to the waves behind the object?

Just like sound…light is in the form of a wave
Sometimes when we observe certain spectra, the absorption lines do not always line up as we might expect.
The lines appear to shift towards the red or blue side of the spectrum.
This is called a Doppler Shift caused by the Doppler effect.
