The 2014 Christian Writer's Literary Festival (www.christianwritersliteraryfestival.blogspot.com) wasthe fourth annual event of its kind sponsored by Christian Authors on Tour /CAOT(www.christianauthorsontour.com). This day-long, literary experience offered the opportunity forChristian authors to share their expertise, testimony and writing ministry in a setting that encouraged andinspired Christian writers and Christian book lovers. It was and is always the last stop of any of CAOT’sannual Christian book tours.

Authors who participated in the 2014 Christian Writer’s Literary Festival had opportunities to (1) selltheir books and/or products; (2) showcase their book ministries; (3) connect with Christian book lovers;and (4) speak via open mike/author readings. Although the 2014 Christian Writer’s Literary Festival didnot include author panel discussions, it did provide opportunities for authors to participate in an openmike session where they either read excerpts from their books or gave a brief overview about theirbooks. The 2014 Christian Writer’s Literary Festival was held at a new venue, the Downtown CulturalArts Center, located 401 N. Howard Street (21202); it offered the following benefits to attendees:

• Book Selling & Fellowship - The authors and vendor tables on the main level provides opportunities for attendees to interact intimately (one-on-one) with authors and to obtain resource information regarding writing as a tool for Christian ministry;

• Professional/Spiritual Development - The keynote speaker, the workshop facilitator, and the authors shared from their hearts and their love for God

• Missions Outreach – Attendees donated three boxes of personal hygiene items to the Karis Home and the Baltimore Rescue Mission. The donations were delivered immediately following the literary event

Readers and writers of Christian books enjoyed a day of fellowship, learning and praise at the 2014 Christian Writer’s Literary Festival!

• Author Open Mike – 10:40 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.; 12:50 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.; & 3:45 p.m. –

• Keynote Address by Marlene Bagnull – 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Main Stage on Main

Level located 401 N. Howard Street; Baltimore, MD 21201)

• Christian Song Writing Workshop – 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Main Stage on Main Level

located 401 N. Howard Street; Baltimore, MD

• Personal Hygiene Drive for the Homeless – 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m./Drop-off “NEW”

personal hygiene items (i.e. bars of soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes,

mouthwash, dental floss, lotion, sanitary napkins, shaving cream, shaving razors, men’s

underwear, women’s underwear, men’s pajamas, women’s pajamas, shampoo,

conditioner, lip balm, hand sanitizer, etc.) to the Registration Table).

A Day in Review …This digital program booklet offers a glimpse of the God-inspired, Christian writer’s literary festival that took place on 12/13/14 in Baltimore, MD at the 5th and final stop of the 2014 Called to Serve: Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT)!

Although the turn-out was small at the 2014 Christian Writer’s Literary Festival, the Lord’s spirit was plentiful and present! The day was packed with information, resources and testimonies from Christian authors from all over the country. These men and women use writing as a tool for Christian ministry. They shared their hearts, their testimonies and their love.

I thank each of the attendees who came out to meet these Christian authors, to purchase their books, and to sow blessings into the lives of homeless men and women in Baltimore! You (attendees) were there because God ordained it to be so, and we were so blessed by your presence! Thank You!

I thank those CAOT authors/members who came out to support their fellow CAOT authors/members. Thank YOU for being willing to show-up to support other writing warriors!

To the CAOT & AAAE authors who showcased their books at the 2014 Christian Writer’s Literary Festival … your creativity, excellence, obedience, faithfulness, and love for God set that place on FIRE! THANK YOU!

Christian Recording Artist, Nicois, returned a 4th year to facilitate her signature Christian songwriter’s workshop. Nicois taught some and reminded others about the true purpose of Christian songwriting!
