DESCRIPTION

This presentation will present a whirlwind tour on how we are using Google Sites at RMIT as an ePortfolio platform. In a recent project, we developed an eBook using iBooks Author and housed it in iTunes for mobile learning. However, we realized we would need a back up plan to house a copy of the eBook, the learning materials, videos, and activities to ensure accessibility. As a Google Institute, Google Sites seemed to be the best option to trial. What we discovered was we had access to a tool where we could build learning materials, easily drop in video, house activities and encourage student reflections. Subsequent to that discovery we are now building Google Sites for a range of reasons. To support staff PD, to design blended learning experiences, to support a major University wide project, and for transition and pathways support for students. The possibilities are endless.
