Determine Scenario

Go to “Student Services Center” screen and review Admissions Status; Active enrollment is indicative of admission

Select “Academics” tab Verify student’s program Two scenarios possible for why

there is not budget: No ISIR present or Non-Degree

No ISIR/Non-Degree Seeking Student

Go to “Manage Financial Aid Years” Click the “+” symbol if the current aid year is not present Enter current academic year and save If current academic year is present, the prior step is not necessary

Go to “Maintain FA Term” Screen Term Information:

Enter appropriate term student is enrolled in 2 Y Y 7 = Fall (Fall 2016 = 2167) 2 Y Y 1 = Spring (Spring 2017 =

2171) 2 Y Y4 = Summer (Summer 2017 =

2174)

Student Data: Select the “Build” Icon

Verify the appropriate terms have been created by reviewing the Term Information Box; ensure that Fall and Spring term was built if applicable.

Go to “Maintain FA Term” Screen Term Information:

Enter appropriate term student is enrolled in 2 Y Y 7 = Fall (Fall 2016 = 2167) 2 Y Y 1 = Spring (Spring 2017 = 2171) 2 Y Y4 = Summer (Summer 2017 = 2174)

Student Data: Select “Career” and choose applicable level

Undergraduate, Graduate, Law Select “Primary Program” and “Academic

Plan” that best fits non-degree program Select appropriate “Campus” as determined

in Student Services Online, Tempe, West, Poly, Thunderbird

Academic Level Tab Term Information:– In the “Academic Load” box enter

the appropriate status: ▪ F: Full-time, H:Half-time, L:Less than

Half-Time– In the “Financial Aid Load” box

enter the appropriate status: ▪ F: Full-time, H:Half-time, L:Less than

Half-Time– “Academic Level” select the

appropriate grade level: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior,

Senior, Post Bacc, Graduate

box enter the appropriate grade level

In the “Direct Lending Year” box enter the appropriate lending year

appropriate credits: ▪ UGRD Full Time : 12

GRAD Full Time: 9▪ UGRD Part Time : 6

Records and Term Tab Enter 16 weeks in the

“Weeks of Instruction” field

Go to “Create Student Budget” screen In the “Term” box, enter term code of the

budget aid year Use the “+” submit to create an

additional row with the next term if processing both fall and spring terms

Click on “Build Budget” and review Budget Term Summary “Detail” to ensure all components are present

If tuition is missing from Budget Items choose “Tuit” for the Category and use the magnifying glass in order to choose the correct type of tuition

Click on “Move Budget” Save
