These clothes link with indie conventions as they are stereotypically vintage/retro clothing which is seen worn in indie music videos - convention

We wanted to use these smart clothes to show how the male character makes an effort. As the male character is also the artist we wanted to show he is smart – mould a certain image about him to music consumers

We chose to use this costume as the red jumper links with Submarine (intersexuality of our video). The bandana makes the costume more indie.

The female character wears the red jacket linking to Submarine. She also wears the boots which are retro.

The artist has a nose ring. This connotes indie, and makes him look more interesting.
