Cognados - Cognates

cognates - words that look alike and have similar meanings in English and Spanish

popular = popular

usar = to useguitarra = guitar

computadora = computerregular = regular

pizza = pizza

¿Cuál?Which?

¿Cómo?How?

¿Quién(es)?Who?

¿Dónde?Where?

¿Cuándo?When?

¿Adónde?To where?

¿Por qué?Why?

¿Cuánto(s)/as?How many/much?

Question words in Spanish MUST have the accent mark. Otherwise, they can mean something

different. For example, “como” means “like/as,” “que” can mean “that” or “than,” and “porque”

means “because.”
