Mise-en-scene

Lighting In this scene the only lighting used is from the helmets this adds effect because it gives it more of a gloomy affect and because it is so dark they vulnerable to anything around them. The infer red light also adds effect because it shows the viewer what is going on but also adds effect because you know that only one character that is holding the camera can see what is going on in the dark.

location

• The location In clip 4 is deep into the cave this adds effect because the viewer knows that if anything happens to them it is very hard to escape. Also the cave adds effect because of how dark and cramped it actually is. Because the cave is so cramped the viewers know that there is now escape for the people trapped inside.

Costume

The costume in clip 4 involves normal caving gear which is acceptable for what the characters are doing, however in the film the girls are always wet awhile they are in the cave by this it brings sex appeal to any male viewers of the film.

Props

The main props used in this clip are helmets and torches this is because the scene is so dark the main things the woman need in this scene are these items because this scene is so dark you can only see a few props another prop you can see are the bones left on the floor which one the characters crawls on to.

Sound

• The sound used in the film is full of suspense and brings the whole film together as a horror movie. The sound is mainly used to make the film seem scarier than it actually is. The sound also makes the audience know what is going to happen soon the sound tells the viewer that something bad is going to happen.
