Web 2.0 Review

The caption on the log in page of Instagram says it best. This is definitely a web 2.0 application.

Anyone in the world can use it and it is free. All someone will have to do is take a picture or

video of someone or something, upload that to Instagram, add a filter of your choice if you want

one, and then post it to Instagram. When posting the picture or video, Instagram will ask if you

would like to share this with any other application. It is your choice if you would or would not.

There is a collaboration method in two ways. For one, Instagram will post to any other social

media application you choose such as Facebook, twitter, Tumblr and more. This allows

collaboration between social media application. Second, Instagram allows you to write

comments and likes on photos and videos which allows collaboration between people. It is a new

source of communication and showing the world. Instagram is used in real time. As soon as you

post a picture or video it goes straight on Instagram and/or all of the other social media networks

you allowed Instagram to post too. It allows for quick transfer so others can see within seconds.
