MAGNETSMagnets- objects that attract certain metals.
Particles of matter act like tiny magnets. If the object’s particles line up, the object is a magnet.

Particles Lined Up
NOT a Magnet: Particles Every-Which-Way
Magnets have a north pole and a south pole.
Opposite poles
attract. They come
together.
Like poles repel. They push eachother away.
